How It All Started

Bay Properties was born out of a love for thoughtful spaces and elevated holidays. Founders Alexandra Wright & Beau Willebrands are a family team of designers, and property specialists with a deep-rooted love for life by the sea.

Beau’s journey started in Byron Bay, working in sales and management for one of the area’s most iconic surfboard manufacturers. But when the slower-paced charm of Yamba called, he swapped waves for real estate, landing a job in the industry while signing the paperwork on their first home (talk about perfect timing).

Meanwhile, Alexandra was studying architecture—after a couple of years, she transitioned into brand & graphic design, spending years honing her skills in in the field before shifting her focus to setting up dreamy holiday homes.

Together, they unknowingly launched Bay Properties when they transformed their own home into a short-term rental. It didn’t take long for the community to notice—before they knew it, people were asking for their help to do the same.

Fast forward 10+ years, and Bay Properties is now leading the way in boutique holiday rentals, curating a collection of stays that set the bar for luxury and comfort. We don’t just manage properties—we craft experiences, designing and styling spaces that feel like a dream to step into.
